Nordic Days in Ventspils

On 14-15 of October Ambassador Flemming Stender made a visit to Ventspils to open Nordic Days together with his colleagues from the Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish Embassies in Latvia as well as the Director of Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Latvia. They met with the Mayor of Ventspils and learnt about the development of the city, visited Ventspils 1st Gymnasium where they met with the school students, they also visited High Technologies Park, and completed the day with a concert by the Swedish Men’s Choir Orphei Drängar at Ventspils concert hall Latvija. On the second day the Ambassador opened a discussion of Wind energy potential in Latvia.

In frames of the Nordic Days there are several Nordic exhibitions displayed in various places of the city, including 2 Danish exhibitions – Our Arctic Future and Green Together, both available until the end of October.
