Advance voting for the municipal elections in the Faroe Islands on 12 November 2024

The municipal elections in the Faroe Islands will take place on 12 November, 2024.

Faroese voters abroad can vote at any Danish mission. Voters with voting rights are welcome to vote also at the Danish embassy in Riga. Pay attention to cast the vote no later than 31 October, so that your postal vote will be received in the correct municipality on election day.

Please note that the Faroese Ministry of Justice has not provided a list of established parties and candidates, therefore voters must find the information on their own.

You can vote at the embassy from Monday to Thursday at 9.00 - 16.00, Friday at 9:00 to 15.00. You are kindly asked to book an appointment in advance by sending an e-mail to [email protected] or calling +37167226210. In order to cast the postal vote you must bring your passport.
