The Danish Minister of Defence visits Latvia

On the 6th of May the Danish Defence Minister Morten Bødskov and the Commander of the Danish Armed Forces General Flemming Lentfer visited Latvia, accompanied by members of the Danish Parliament’s Defence Committee.

The visit took place in connection with the official welcoming ceremony of the Danish contingent, who arrived in Latvia the week before. Defence Minister Bødskov and the Latvian Defence Minister Artis Pabriks held speeches and met Danish soldiers at the military base in Adazi.

The Danish Defence Minister also visited the NATO-Headquarters of Multinational Division North (MND-N) in Adazi, where Denmark together with Latvia and Estonia are lead nations. The MND-N Command is partly led from Slagelse in Denmark and the majority of the staff and the commander are Danish Defence personnel.
